Galesburg-Augusta Primary School

Galesburg-Augusta Community Schools will be IN SESSION tomorrow May 19th as planned. Power, Phones, and Internet has been restored thanks to hard working Consumers and Metronet teams. If your student rides the BROWN bus, please bring them to Harding's parking lot at 7:05am, as the buses cannot pass through the neighborhood behind Harding's/tracks. We are resilient and will get back to it tomorrow. Please reach out to me if you are in need of any resources due to the storm. See you all in the morning, Rams!

The walk to school event is tomorrow, Friday, May 16.  Students have been given their wristbands and must have them on in order to get off the bus in the morning.  We have over 200 students registered to walk to school and another 100 adults that will be walking with us. Parents can drop off students at the park starting at 7:15 . Walking to school starts at 7:30 from River Oaks Park .

Thank you to Superintendent Lindsey Newton for being our guest reader Tuesday afternoon. Dr. Newton read, “That’s Not Funny, David!” by David Shannon and the children laughed and laughed. We discovered that Dr. Newton attended G-A Schools from kindergarten through senior year and her favorite book as a child was, “The Giving Tree.” We look forward to having Dr. Newton visit again as a guest reader next month!
