Today we had our fire alarm go off multiple times. The students and staff did a great job of exiting the building and allowing the fire department to figure out what was happening. After multiple walks around the building and support from the fire department, we were able to find an alarm that was slightly pulled. The Primary School just wanted all parents to know if their son or daughter happens to mention the alarms going off multiple times today.

Thank you Galesburg Augusta Community, parents and students! Our 21st year of supporting the American Heart Association has come to a close. I am excited to announce we have surpassed our school goal and set a new high of $11,814. Our 21 year total is over $140,000. ❤️

Next week is Kindness Week at Galesburg-Augusta Community Schools! Each day we will wear a color to represent a different way to be kind.
February 21st: Red is for Self Love: Think of something you did this weekend that was kind and give yourself a pat on the back.
February 22nd: Purple for Helpfulness: Help a teacher of a classmate today!
February 23rd: Green is for Gratitude: Say thank you to 3 or more people today!

Valentine’s Day is only 3 days away!!!
American Heart month is off to a great start. Did you know that more than 300,000 amazing students and 21,000 schools nationwide are participating in Kids Heart Challenge this year. Each of those students have made a pledge to be active, move more and be kind to their hearts and others. I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day!
Kids Heart Challenge is something FUN for the kids and the amount of giving that has taken place is beyond generous. Currently our Primary and Midfle School students have received over $2500 in donations and 39 students have already registered. If you have not registered how about using the mid-winter break to take the time to register. Follow the link below.
