REMINDER: DELAYED START 9/15! Just a friendly reminder that THIS Wednesday, 9/15 is our 1st delayed start of the school year. Delayed starts are scheduled every Wednesday, except for the 1st Wednesday of each month. School will start 90 minutes later on delayed start days. School will dismiss at the normal time. Delayed Start Times: Primary School 9:20 AM Middle School 9:44 AM High School 9:00 AM * Bus riders will be picked up 90 minutes later than their scheduled pick up time.

Attention 7th and 8th grade girls We need to start thinking about girls basketball that starts in January. As you may know, there is a fall league called sharpshooters that happens late October/November. This is an essential opportunity for you to get some basketball practice in before the season. I will have a sign up sheet at the MS this week in the office. Please discuss this with your parents and sign up this week. We need to be part of this program in order to improve our skills and ability to compete at a higher level. If you have questions please contact me, Ms. Dooley or Varsity Coach DeLeon. The Sharp Shooter Girls Basketball League is a league for 7th & 8th grade girls from the same school district. This is not a league for AAU or Area All Star Teams. The first contest date for the Sharp Shooter League will be October 23 and it will finish with a tournament on December 11th & 12th for everyone that wants to participate. Bring your family to downtown Galesburg for an afternoon to meet the principals! The Middle School and High School Principals (Mrs. Wiese and Ms. MacDonell) will be at the Gull Lake Distillery. The Primary Principal (Mr.Sportel) will be at the Galesburg Community Park! It would be a “club” team meaning it will not be funded by the school and not directly associated with G-A. However it’s a step toward establishing a soccer program. We are looking to have 15-18 6th-8th girls/boys to play on a Co-ed team. We would play in the the Southwest Michigan Middle School League.
