School Safety Week is in full swing at G-A! Stay informed with these important details about our Fire Drills to help keep our school community safe.

The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) recognizes Safe Schools Week from October 14–18 to bring attention to the importance of creating safe and positive school environments. Girls YOUTH Basketball registration forms came home last week. The first after school practice: Thursday, October 24 3:00-4:15 3rd-4th 4:00-5:15 5th-6th Please return forms this week. I will also need volunteer coaches to coach travel teams. DEADLINE is October 22.

Youth Volleyball Monday, October 14 3:00-4:15 3rd-4th 4:00-5:15 5th-6th **4th grade girls playing travel will practice until 4:45 with their travel team.(Cardinal, Gold and White teams) Travel games Wednesday, October 16. Girls playing travel volleyball, please be at the Parchment High School by 5:30 to warm up. Thursday, October 17 11:00-12:15 3rd-4th 11:45-1:00 5th-6th **Half Day School Team Party.

Middle School Families- As a district we continue to focus on Anti-Bullying during the month of October and continue throughout the year. Don't forget to have your child wear orange on Wednesdays to show we stand together against bullying. I just came across this insightful article/resource on anti-bullying that I think is really important for us to support conversations around mean behavior and anti-bullying with our kids. It's unique as it discusses the struggles with bullying specifically to Middle School. It offers some great tips on how to recognize bullying, how to stand up against it, and how to support each other. Our Rams are charging to Homecoming! ❤🏈💛 On October 11th, 2024, the Galesburg-Augusta Cross Country Team will be running from Delton-Kellogg to Galesburg-Augusta High School, carrying the football all the way for our Homecoming game! 🏃‍♂️💨 We are encouraging our incredible community to support them along the way as well as wait for them at Maskill Field!
